DESCRIPTION OF POSITION'S ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position provides daily technical assistance to approximately 600-700 internal employees. Provides end-user support and customer service on proprietary systems; company supported computer applications & platforms; troubleshoots problems & advises on appropriate action; responsible for phone, e-mail & remote support. Main Responsibilities include: responding to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone & electronically; diagnose & resolve technical hardware & software issues; researching questions using available information resources; advising user on appropriate action; following standard help desk procedures; logging all help desk interactions; administering help desk software; re-directing problems to appropriate resource; identifying & escalating situations requiring urgent attention; tracking & routing problems and requests and documenting resolutions; preparing activity reports; staying current with system information, changes & updates. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS : The ideal candidate will have a 2 year degree in related field required, 2+ years proven experience in a structured support environment preferred, attention to detail & customer service mind-set required, Tier 1-2 application and MS support experience desired, previous network & server support experience desired. The successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
