Qualifications: minimum of 2 years of hands on experience or be a graduate of an accredited diesel school .and. must have a detailed knowledge of diesel engines .and. auxiliary support equipment. Will be required periodically to answer after hours .and. weekend emergency service calls. Must have a complete set of tools .and. have a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a CDL.Duties: Diagnose .and. repair problems in the areas including all external component replacements .and. routine repairs, perform annual vehicle inspections, perform preventative maintenance, brake jobs, lighting repairs, cab repairs, king pin replacements, steering problem diagnosis/repair, drive train component diagnosis .and. replacement, suspension diagnosis .and. repair. Perform starting .and. charging system diagnosis .and. repairs, cooling system diagnosis .and. repairs, routine electrical diagnosis .and. repairs including the comprehension of common fault codes. Perform fabrication functions, welding, cutting .and. soldering. Comprehension .and. completion of the repair orders, inventory forms, PM schedules, repair forecasts. Utilize parts diagrams, computer .and. other resources to research problems, identify .and. locate parts. Communicates well with internal customers on equipment availability, repair time estimates, troubleshooting .and. status updates.Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with possible weekends and evenings required.Wage: $16 - $19Benefits: uniforms provided .and. laundered, health ins., IRA, holidays, vacation.
