Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line Development Director in HAVRE, Montana
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Generates income through campaigns targeting local foundations, corporations, civic groups and individual donors. Directs the identification, research, cultivation and solicitation of planned gift prospects and donors. Coordinates and oversees all aspects of the annual campaign with club executives and key volunteer assistance with face-to-face solicitations. Identifies and creates opportunities to build public awareness of club services, programs, and activities. Coordinates Special events. Assists with marketing and social media campaigns for Club programs and insures that the Club is regularly in the media via utilizing all earned media opportunities. Key Roles: Leadership Provide direction and oversight in all areas related to reaching development goals and strategies. Lead and manage all local development activities. Develop and implement marketing and public relations strategies designed to build appreciation and support of Club programs, services, and activities. Strategic Planning Research and develop a comprehensive plan for achieving resource development goals as set by the Board of Directors. This will include developing a strategic growth plan with the assistance of Boys & Girls Clubs of America staff. Research and identify individual, foundation, corporate and public agency prospects to cultivate and solicit. Areas of Responsibility Marketing and public relations coordination for Boys & Girls Club programs. Cultivate potential gift prospects, develop proposals and conduct solicitations of individual donors and negotiate terms of giving agreements as appropriate. Special Event oversight - planning, coordination and implementation. Annual Campaign planning and implementation. Manage Planned Giving program including training club staff, executives, board members and volunteers in planned giving solicitation techniques. Understand and articulate the mission, objectives, policies, programs, procedures, principles and practices of the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line. Maintain and fully utilize the Visions Donor Tracking database software. Track fundraising income and develop reports and publications reflecting progress. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or as assigned. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in resource development which may include a combination of grant writing, reporting, major gift solicitation or event planning. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all types of people. Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. Knowledge of how to manage multiple projects, events and/or campaigns. Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute successful projects.
