CITY OF DILLON Clerk of Court in DILLON, Montana
Will assist the City Court Judge in managing the court function. Work includes performing receptionist duties, entering data, preparing, processing and filing office and court documents, and performing related office support duties. Collects, organizes, and enters a variety of data. Indexes and files correspondence, reports, records and other materials according to predetermined classifications. Prepares a variety of date-sensitive forms, records, correspondence and court documents. Tracks dates on a rotating calendar system. Schedules hearings; maintains calendars; compiles, prepares and distributes necessary court orders and notices. Receipts and records payments; prepares and verifies deposits; balances and maintains account records. Attends court and acts as bailiff when the judge requests; administers oaths, maintains active jury pool, and summons juries.Clerk must attend 2-day training seminars out of town at least once a year. General knowledge of basic legal procedure and terminology is mandatory. Must be able and willing to learn new software programs and technological tools (i.e. email, scanner, texting, etc.). Must pass criminal background check. Candidate must be energetic and motivated to complete a multitude of tasks daily.Starting wage is $12.25/hour with increase to $12.50/hour after successful completion of 6 month probationary period.
