POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY Supervises delivery of MR services to assists in diagnosis and treatment. Directs human and physical resources to achieve an established standard of care in MR , complementary to medical ethics. Assures appropriate patient care management and adjusts daily operations to meet the needs of a changing work environment. Responsible for MR staff evaluatins, training, and quality control. Participates in development and implementation of operating and capital budget Communicates with medical director to insure quality care. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Required: Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiology program or equivalent Preferred: N/A LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION Required: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiology or equivalent Preferred: N/A EXPERIENCE Required: 5 year post graduate experience Preferred: Supervisory experience Training behavioral interviewing ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 65% Time Spent - Performs MR exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff 10% Time Spent - Maintains daily staffing schedule for scheduled shifts, on call coverage, and low census with attention to ET requests and workload requirements insuring that service is provided in the correct sequence. 10% Time Spent - Is responsible for maintaing qualified MR technical staff through proper hiring,training, and evaluation of staff 10% Time Spent - Interacts and communicates with physicians, support staff, and other health care professionals to facilitate department operations and establish a standard of care. 5% Time Spent - Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the hospital quality indicators, as described in the strategic plan. Recommends short and long term goals, budget, and staffing needs. Reports on department progress, objectives, and operational issues
