U.S. Bank Risk and Control Coordinator in Billings, Montana

Incumbent is considered an expert in applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business. Job scope and complexity of assigned business is broad and very complex. This role has an expert-level understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems and associated risks/controls. They may lead reporting, testing/monitoring, exception/resolution activities and providing guidance. They are responsible for training lower level and new staff and may manage or supervise staff as assigned. They typically interact directly with senior managers requiring an advanced level of presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills. This position will also have occasional exposure to regulatory agencies. Incumbent has a bachelor’s degree, applicable professional certifications and seven to ten years applicable experience. 

 

Job Specifics

Responsible completion of various risk assessments.(RCSA,ECRA) , Completing or overseeing the completion of the following items: 

Gap assessments  

Coordination of identifying and inventorying of Tools 

Coordination of identifying and inventorying of Control Documentation 

Fee Governance  

Control Documentation for Reg AB 

Quarterly RCSA, ECRA and quarterly assessments  

Notary Validation  

Assist in the development and/or completion of Business Line Operation Risk and Control related initiatives  

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Seven to ten years of experience in an applicable risk management environment

  • Applicable professional certifications

Preferred Skills and Experience 

3-5 years of Mortgage Servicing or Comparable related experience 

Knowledge of Mortgage Servicing Requirements  

Strong analytical skills 

Ability to work collaboratively with various business partners across the bank (Operations, Risk, Legal and Compliance)  

Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills 

Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities to completion  

Demonstrate flexibility , versatility and ability to prioritize work  

Proficient computer skills especially Microsoft Office applications
